  Had a disappointing experience with Tropic Blinds. They came highly recommended from locals in the area. They advised they didn't quote on weekends, so I made arrangements to start work at 6.30am that day so I could be home in time for our 4pm appointment on a Tuesday. They called at 3.30pm to say they were cancelling because "they had to go to the doctor", and that they'd only found out "an hour ago".
  
  They offered to simply reschedule like it was that simple. I had to get up at 4.30am that morning to travel to my workplace over an hour away. I'd made special arrangements to get keys to the building I work in so I could start work at 6.30am. I had to leave work at 2.30pm in the busy part of the afternoon placing more pressure on my colleagues.
  
  But most importantly, I was so excited about adding this blind to our deck. I already knew it was going to cost thousands, and I wanted to give that money to a local family business.
  
  I felt like I was being fobbed off and that because it's only a free quote, my time wasn't as important. If the man was genuinely ill, then I wish him a speedy recovery, but something felt off about the whole excuse.
